Folate

Folate, also known as folic acid, is essential for preventing birth defects and supporting healthy fetal development. It's recommended that pregnant women get at least 600 micrograms (mcg) of folate per day. Good sources of folate include leafy green vegetables, citrus fruits, beans, and fortified cereals.
